The "long list" of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts was announced on January 7, and the official nominee list to be announced on January 18, 2011 — resulting in a feverish round of voting by the British Academy to see who wins the ultimate UK award for best movie, cinematography, acting and direction.
The winners will be announced this year at the official awards ceremony airing on BBC1 on Sunday, February 13, 2011 - exactly two weeks before the Oscars - from the Royal Opera House in London.
